Hello everyone.
I have been reading this forum since I bought my 86 Savage last year. Today while riding home from work my Savage caught fire at a stoplight and burned to a crisp. I recently removed the white spacer but I don't know if that had anything to do with it. The FD thinks that there was a fuel leak that caused it. All I know is that I was lucky to get away unharmed.
Keep a close watch on your bikes. I never knew this could happen.
